Texas Photo Round-Up: Fort Richardson State Park, Jacksboro

Fort Richardson State Park in Jacksboro is one of those good state parks with nice campsites, hiking and geocaching opportunities and some great history. The photo opportunities are pretty impressive too – the large stone hospital practically glows in the light of the setting sun. If you like taking pictures at all and you stumble upon it  sunset you will find yourself with hundreds of photos. Here are some of ours, to join Sarah at the Wandering Off blog, and others in the Texas Photo Round-up for Twitter’s #traveltuesday.

Another view of the hospital - it was quiet large and impressive for a field hospital.

Along with interesting history, Fort Richardson State Park is full of unique natural beauty, and big sky vistas as well.

You can see more of our Fort Richardson photos too, or even come visit us there in February when we’ll be attending the WWII Re-enactment weekend.
