I have a few apps I always use when camping. The best camping app that I use constantly is RVcompanion. This app does it all. You use it to put notes about campsites you visit. I use it to store ratings of campgrounds, store site numbers, satellite settings, and other information from campgrounds we visit. It also let's you store info about your RV, and lets you set maintenance reminders. It's a great app.

For those of us who do bring our TVs, I recommend DP AR. This app let's you see exactly where satellites are through the iPhone's camera. The app is a little expensive, but if you've spent a lot of time trying to find a signal, you'll appreciate this app.

Speaking of setting up your satellite, Apple's compas and level are always handy for this and other tasks.

The last app I would recommend is RV dumps. You never know when this app will come in handy.

Thanks for the post... always looking for great camping trip apps. We use the roadside America, Geocaching, ctrv parks, campwhere, park explorer, yelp, skp parks, nat'l parks companion, yfy finder, trip journal, wikihood, local books, whatknot, aroundme, the weather channel, heywhere, and ping(free iPhone to iPhone texting) just to name a few!! I wish the discount clubs (ie passport America) would come out with an app. My husband and I also have dueling iPhones along with our three kid's ipods. Was thinkn about gettn the truck stop app but the price was a bit high, good to know it's worth it :)
